About the Trip
The ferry ride will take only 45 breathtaking minutes down a beautiful section of a Fjord known as the "Lynn Canal". Located between the two beautiful Alaska towns of Haines and Skagway. Our safe and reliable service, accessible docks and multiple departures throughout the day make it an easy way to explore these quaint, fun-filled Alaska towns separated by 350 miles of road.
Passenger-Only Vessel
We don't take vehicles on-board, but bicycles, kayaks, pets and packages are welcome. All our vessels are designated Smoke Free. View carriage fees and other details about the trip. Wheelchair Use
For safety reasons, motorized scooters and electric wheelchairs cannot be accommodated aboard the vessel. Guests who are able to transfer may use the company's manual wheelchair, based upon availability. Under Federal law and due to special marine safety construction guidelines, USCG-regulated small vessels are not subject to land-based architectural configuration requirements. Although we do our best to accommodate passengers with limited mobility consistent with our vessel capabilities, staffing and the docking space which is publicly owned and controlled, we can do a better job with advance notice. |
Reservations
Advance reservations are recommended to guarantee specific departure times and dates. Tickets can also be purchased on-board, subject to availability. Schedules can change, so be sure to check current schedules on our reservations page. Dock Usage
The Fast Ferry will be using the CIA dock in Haines for the majority of trips this summer. Please see sailing schedule for dock assignment & plan accordingly. |
How to Find Us!
Skagway
The ferry docks at the South side of the Skagway Small Boat Harbor. From the covered restroom pavilion, follow the wooden pier to the blue awning covered ramp. Once on the floating dock, continue along the dock to the end. The ferry will be docked along the end of the floating dock. A representative will be there to assist you 15 minutes prior to departure. |
Haines
The ferry uses the Chilkoot Indian Association (CIA) dock for most of our departures during the summer of 2024. We use the Port Chilkoot dock on days in which a cruise ship is also docked at the Port Chilkoot dock (PC). Please check the dock assignment on our 2024 Schedule to confirm the dock usage for your departure. A representative will greet you at the top of the ramp. For your safety and those of other passengers, please do not wait for the vessel on the floating dock. Passengers will need to offload and move up the ramp before you can board the vessel. |
